So, what is Invisalign®, and how does it work?

What is Invisalign®?
Instead of using wires and brackets, Invisalign® from Smile Studios uses clear plastic trays to bring your teeth into proper position. After taking digital scans of your mouth, we simulate a treatment plan and send instructions to a dental lab to create your aligners. After a few weeks, you will receive a series of aligners, and your teeth straightening journey can start.
One of the most common misconceptions is that Invisalign® only works for minor orthodontic issues. The truth, however, is that clear aligners correct minor, moderate, and severe orthodontic challenges that traditional braces can fix.
How does Invisalign® treatment work?
Invisalign® works by putting controlled pressure on different parts of your teeth. When you get your aligners, each set is supposed to be worn for about two weeks. Then, you will swap with new aligners that will move your teeth a step closer to proper alignment.
If you want to shorten your treatment period, you must use your clear aligners as directed. For the best results, you will need to wear them for at least 22 hours a day, only taking them out when eating, drinking, flossing, and brushing. And there’s no need to worry about the comfort of your aligners while sleeping! Invisalign® aligners are made of smooth, medical-grade thermoplastic that is gentle on your gums.
