What should I expect with Invisalign clear braces treatment?
Invisalign clear braces is a safe, effective orthodontic treatment to comfortably straighten your teeth using clear trays rather than the traditional metal braces. After your initial complimentary evaluation, the team at Smile Studios dental clinic in Redmond, WA, will take records of your smile—this includes photos and impressions. Dr. Tina will then develop a treatment plan working alongside Invisalign technicians. You will then get clear tray aligners to put into your mouth to slowly move your teeth into the correct position. You can expect to come into the dental clinic to change your trays every two weeks. Every six weeks, you will get a new set of aligners. During the course of your treatment, Dr. Tina evaluates the progression of your smile every six weeks, focusing on teeth straightening, bite, and gaps between your teeth. Invisalign is an alternative to traditional, um, metal braces. As you can see, they are custom clear aligners that fit your teeth. It’s a series of aligners that we have Invisalign manufacture. You switch them out every two weeks to slowly move your teeth into the spots where you want ’em to go. When Invisalign is moving your teeth, there can be some soreness, um, but most people don’t feel like it drastically changes their life. Most of the time, you can take the aligners out and eat normal foods and be comfortable. Invisalign in our office, tr uh, typically lasts between a year to a year and a half. That, of course, depends on what types of movements your teeth need to make. Sometimes it can last a little bit longer. Typically, in our office, treatment lasts a little bit less than a year.
How to Whiten Your Teeth Using your Invisalign Aligners or Retainers
Hello everyone, this is Alex at Smile Studios. Today we’re gonna be talking a little bit about, um, winding while wearing aligners. Um, so today I have, uh, zoom Lightning Day kit, um, and my aligners, my Invisalign aligners. Um, the way this works is pretty simple. You take your, um, zoom wide name and you do a p amount of product on each area that you would like to wine in. Um, a little bit goes a long ways, and all we need is just the kit and aligners. After I am done placing the product on the aligners, I’ll just toss them on, wait 15 to 20, 30 minutes. It depends what the instructions say. And then after, soon after, I will rinse, uh, my aligners and my teeth. One quick tip is having a Q-tip. Um, in case you get any product and your gum lines, you clean yourself out. Um, besides that, pretty straightforward. 15 minutes and you’re done.

Invisalign clear braces are a system to straighten your teeth. It uses clear aligners to move your teeth into the perfect position consistently.
What is the process of treatment?
First, we take impressions of your teeth and feed them into our software to align them to where your teeth would be if they were perfectly straight.
The treatment is broken down into small increments, which would each have a set of aligners.
Each set of aligners will slowly move your teeth into position while you change the aligners every 1- 2 weeks.
Every new aligner you put on will feel a little tight at first but get more comfortable over the next couple of days.

What is Invisalign®, and how does it work?
Invisalign® is an orthodontic treatment. It uses a series of custom oral appliances to reposition the teeth. The appliances, or aligners, are made from a smooth, flexible, and transparent advanced plastic. They can easily be taken in and out of your mouth. When worn as directed daily, Invisalign® aligners are an effective alternative to conventional braces to fix crowded, crooked, gapped, unevenly spaced teeth and bite problems. The aligners place consistent pressure on the teeth to support their movement. They are also highly cosmetic and comfortable.
How do I know if I’m a good candidate for Invisalign®?
All treatments start by scheduling a consultation at our office. During your visit, Dr. Subherwal will evaluate your teeth and bite. She will also discuss your concerns and personal preferences with you. Since Invisalign® is a high-tech approach, she can even show you how your teeth will be repositioned and look after treatment is done during your consultation.
Can I take out my aligners before going to bed?
No. Failure to wear the aligners at all times (except when eating and cleaning your teeth and aligner trays) can delay progress and affect your treatment outcomes and experience. Keep them in your mouth even while you are asleep. They are lightweight and easy to adjust, so you’ll forget you are wearing them!
How often should I switch to a new set of aligners?
All Invisalign® treatment plans require a series of aligner trays. Each tray or appliance corresponds with a different step in your unique plan. So, it is essential to wear the aligners in the correct sequence. Each tray is typically worn for one to two weeks. Your doctor will advise on the correct “wear time” for you.
Will my aligners stain or discolor over time?
With proper care, your aligners should not stain or warp. It is important to refrain from drinking staining beverages while your aligners are in and to clean your trays properly throughout treatment. We can advise on proper cleaning techniques and products. Good care also helps to minimize the risk of bacteria developing on your appliances, which promotes decay and disease.
Can you treat my stained teeth at the same time?
Yes! Invisalign® uses a trusted professional whitening system by Opalescence™. This clinically proven, safe, and effective system is designed for the aligners or your Invisalign® Vivera™ retainers. So, you can correct gaps and other spacing issues and get dazzling, whiter teeth along the way!
Is a retainer necessary after treatment?
Retainers are important to maintain the results from Invisalign® treatment. Invisalign’s proprietary Vivera™ retainers are generally worn “full time” at first to prevent relapse or teeth from shifting back into their pre-treatment positions. Then, Dr. Subherwal can customize treatment to gradually reduce the amount of time your retainers are worn. You may only need to wear them each night to keep your teeth in the right place and support oral health and an attractive smile.
