eplacing missing teeth immediately after tooth loss or extraction is strongly encouraged to avoid a host of issues that can arise, including shifting teeth and bone loss. However, some patients are overwhelmed by the many choices for replacing missing teeth. Dr. Tina Subherwal and her dedicated team at Smile Studios in Redmond, Washington, offer a wide selection of dental restorations to replace one or more teeth in the smile and will help you choose the right option for your needs.
Our practice offers three primary types of dentures for patients to consider when restoring the function, overall health, and appearance of their smiles. These include:
– Partial dentures. Partial dentures are removable appliances that use false teeth connected to a metal and acrylic base that slide into place and restore the natural function and look of the smile after tooth loss or extraction
– Complete (full) dentures. Complete or “full” dentures are quality acrylic dentures that include false teeth and gums and are held on the ridge of the gums with suction or the use of denture adhesives available over the counter to restore all teeth
– Implant-retained dentures. Patients who need to replace all teeth in the dental arch and are seeking a more stable alternative to full or complete dentures can use implant-retained dentures, which are more conservative teeth replacements that snap onto four to six dental implants along the dental arch for optimum stability and functionality
