In addition to stabilizing full dentures, dental implants can also be used for stabilizing partial dentures. Who is a good candidate for obtaining implant-supported dentures?

To place dental implants, candidates must have enough bone in the jaw to hold the implant firmly in place. Without this, the implant process may be unsuccessful, and these patients may need to consider alternative options. Patients who qualify for bone grafting can also prepare the area for the placement of implants in the future. However, most of our patients have enough bone for a few implants to support the lower denture.

Dr. Tina Subherwal is a dentist with over 20 years of experience and extensive training in cosmetic and implant dentistry techniques.

She attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City after being selected for its competitive accelerated dental degree program. Later, she followed the University of Southern California’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry program which equipped her with advanced knowledge and experience in family and implant dentistry, as well as cosmetic services such as Invisalign and veneers.
